Learn2wrench: Survival Course in Motorcycle/Scooter Repair: Entry level
Coming soon
Tuition: $385
I'm conducting a 4 week course that covers the main fundamentals of motorcycle maintenance and repair. Its a front to rear wheel approach where we take a journey through all the systems that comprise a motorcycle. It is a hands-on-course and not just theory . Theory will be thoroughly discussed and broken down in layman terms so that everyone will understand. One of the most important things that you'll learn is how to analyze faults and how to approach the problem. A repair manual would have to be as thick as a phone book to cover all of the tricks of the trade that you would learn through this course. This is one of the most important skillsets, is tracing through the fault tree, because there can be multiple problems and you have to learn to isolate them. You will also learn good work practices so you don't get lost and end up with a bunch parts that you can't remember where they go. You will learn to work with specialized tools, how to identify parts using parts diagrams and how to grind the dealers for better prices. Also each class is a standalone workshop covering a specific topic so if you miss a class you can make it up on our next meetup when it is repeated. You must pre-register to attend this class. So please contact me for details.
You will be learning from a mechanic and teacher that has been servicing bikes and watercraft for the past 30 years. All the material you will learn from the class has been carefully broken down so even the most tech challenged can understand easily. There will be a combination of hands on training, class demonstrations of service procedures, diagnostics with videos and course books to provide supporting documention. I have been teaching this class for the past 9 years and have had 100's of students take the workhops with excellent results. After and during the class I am available for consultations with whatever problem you may have. Past student references are available upon request. This is a fun and great life skill to acquire which will serve you in whatever bike you may own in the future.
In the past the class has filled quickly because of its small size so I would not wait until the last minute to register.
This class has been well reviewed in Yelp. More references on request.
Motorcycle rides are more fun when your ride doesn't break down, so please ride safe.Workshop Syllabus Motorcycle/Scooter Repairing 101
